For about 2 weeks I have been complaining my foot has been hurting. It started out as just an ache, after running on the treadmill. Even then it was only at night. Then the pain started to get stronger, and the pain would start earlier in the day. Well, yesterday we went to Dorney Pak, we had the best time by the way. Well, by the end of the day, it hurt so bad. But I figured it would be better in the morning like normal. But it wasn't. So after we got Serenity on the bus, I had Jimmy take me up to the ER. I was expecting it to be horrible. I didn't feel like I belong at the ER, but knew I had to have the foot looked at. Happily the hospital has this new thing called, the Fast Track. It is for less serious things. To get you in and out quickly. After they do the normal triage, taking your blood pressure and all, they order whatever tests might be needed immediately. They ordered my xray, and then had me in a special room that was just for fast track. I was home by the time the boys were home from the bus. Including travel time, it took about 2 hours. Turns out I have a stress fracture. I have to stay off my foot for 2 week. I have crutches and a splint. It is like a half cast, hard on the bottom of my foot, and up my legs. It keeps my foot semi immoble, and keeps me from walking on it. Great, just what I need. So, now I have to try and figure out how to handle an 8 month old, walking a kindergarten down a huge hill to the bus stop every day, and wash clothes on another level.
Oh well.
