When I first saw them I thought, Oh wow Serenity will love these. She is my littlest artist. All my (big) kids love art and love to do crafts, but I thought, a great kit for a kid. I was so suprised when they arrived. I would order this kit for me, easily. The stamps are the kind that are about 5 or so dollars a piece at the craft store. The kind adults buy for scrapbooking or making cards. They are incredible. It comes with a 2 color ink pad. One side is pink and one side is purple. Usually with ink Serenity is wearing most of it and it takes almost no time at all for the ink pad to be dry. So far, she has been making cards and pictures for 3 days straight and the inks are going strong. And when I say 3 days straight, I mean, she works from when she wakes up until bed, only stopping if I force her to eat, bathe or get up and play outside.
We had a baby shower to go to and she made the card. It looked gorgeous. When she was stamping it, the outside edges of the stamp wasn't getting into the ink. Which it usually does when she uses a stamp. And then the color pencils are very good quality. Not the junky kind that break when you try to sharpen them.
And they all come in a nice little wooden box to keep them organized. They are truly a very high quality stamp set. It isn't something I would see and think kids, but at the price Ecomom is offering them, it is easy to buy them for a kid. If you have a budding artist, or wanta nice arts and craft set for your child, or for a gift that looks like you spent a fortune on, you HAVE to check these out. Ecomom also has a dinosoar set that I am sure is just as great.
Ecomom is offering my readers a 15 % discount on your first order too. The code is SBBL405. This code is good until 8-31-10
And Ecomom offers Ecopass. Ecopass is a great program that allows you to purchase a $99 annual membership, which provides for a $15 % discount on every order PLUS FREE SHIPPING on all orders without worrying about the $75 minimum. Ecopass pays for itself in 4 orders, and breaks down to just $8.25 per month.
Now the fun past. A giveaway, necause ECOMOM is awesome like that.
ECOMOM- Eco-friendly Baby Products is going to give one lucky reader a $15 Gift Certificate to her store!

Will she be a CD pro when she grows up?
It is so cute. Serenity had been trying to help me the past few days since I have been having to stay off my foot. Well, she likes to ge the diapers for Willow. I have them organised on the changing table. Each type is in its own bin. On the top theones we use the most, the AIO, pockets are in 2 bins. Next to them are the g diapers. On the second shelf are the fitted diapers with the covers next to them. Well, most of the AIO and \pockets are just plain pul in different colors. And the g's are just the basic colors. The fitted diapers all have the pretty patterned fabric. Serenity loves these. Her favorite diaper is a mama made fitted with giant cherries on them. Well the first time she got a diaper for me, she brought out a fitted. I explained to her that with a fitted we need a cover. After I explained where the covers are, she came back with the right ones. So the next time she got a diaper for me she came back with an AIO so I figured she thought it was too much work. Daddy does, LOL. So that was all for that day, and the next day I had the diaper bag with me so she didn't need to get any. Well we were stuffing pockets and snapping in liners from doing diaper laundry. Serenity picks up her favorite fitted and put it in the right bin. I stopped what I was doing to watch her. She knew where each diaper went and what it needed. I asked her " So when you get a fitted for me, what else do we need.?" She reaches in and hands me a cover.
It was the coolest thing. I was so excited to see she really understood the whole concept. I know, that right nowif you are not a cloth diaper user, you are reading this going, ok yeah sure. I know that is the look my husband gives me. He doesn't understnad my fluffy love. He uses them, and likes them, but just doesn't understnad my excitement.

Where did her laugh go?
First sorry it has been a few days. This weekend and the beginning of the week has been insane. There have been so much going on.
This morning, Serenity, Willow and I were chilling out snuggling in my bed. I don't remember what set Serenity off, but she started doign this fake laugh she has been doing. It is the most irritating sound. And it goes on way longer than a normal laugh does. It is a seriously annoying new habit. S this morning when she was started doing it, I asked her to please stop with the fake laugh. Then I asked why she was using her fake laugh. She looked at me very serious, and says, "Well I lost my laugh Mommy." Now trying very very hard not to laugh, I asked "You did? How did that happen?" "I don't know" she says, "and I can't remember where I had it last." SO I had her climb up into my lap and told her this super silly joke about a worm from when I was a kid. By the time the joke is done, she is laughing hyterical, a true laugh. Apparently the laugh must have been hiding under the blankets in my room.
And just because this is such a cute picture... Serenity this afternoon at the bus stop:
See that super cute barette in her hair. It is from Sabrina at Daisy Dew and Tutu. We just got them in the mail yesterday and even though it did not match her outfit, she begged to wear it today. Sabrina made a matching one for Willow.

Playing picinic
This is how my girls spent their morning, for a little while anyway. Serentiy will sit and play for hours with her babies, but Willow get bored quickly. She is Mama's girl and wants to be held. Serenity was having a picinic for her babies. If you look right next to Willow, you see that red patch of hair. That is Ariel, one of Serenity's dolls. It was on the edge of the picinic blanket. Willow reached over when Serenity wasn't paying attention and took her. It took Serenity a while to notice, which is odd for her. She always knows what is going on with her babies. When she did though, she took her baby back. I love having this time to just be with them while the house is somewhat quiet.Tuesday, April 20, 2010
Look Mom, no teeth
Serenity lost 2 teeth. She lets her teeth get so wiggily that they are
barely hanging on. The first tooth has been hanging by a thread for 2
weeks. She wouldn't let me pull it but wouldn't pull it herself. Well
on the way to school the bus hit a bump. Serenity bumped her chin on
the seat in front of her. When she reached into her mouth to wiggle
her tooth, it was gone. Luckily it was on her lap.
When she showed me, I saw how lose the other one was. It was ready
too. Of course she wouldn't let me pull it. After she had a snack, it
was practically falling out. We finally convienced her to let Anthony
pull it. Anthony us the King of teeth pulling. That boy use to go to
bed, with a just starting wiggily tooth, and within a hour, he would
have that tooth out. We use to get so mad at him. But Serenity finally
let him. It was out in one twist. And she never felt it.
So this is her now. Doesn't she look cute? And the tooth fairy brought
her $5 bucks. I guess she got extra because it was 2 in one day. LOL.
She is that much closer to her zhu zhu pet money.

Apple for the teacher
{Look at me, 2 posts i the same day}
Serenity was all tucked into bed. We were getting settled, and she comes out into the living room, very sheepishly, and asks, "Mommy, can I bring an apple to my teacher tomorrow?" For the split second all I could do was look at my beautiful little girl and think, Oh My Gosh, she is just the sweeetest thing ever. I answered her, "Of course you can baby." She beamed me a one of a kind Serenity smile and said, still very bashful, "I want her to know how much I like her and love her. " Now I am fighting the Aweee mommy response for fear of embarrasing her. SO I just tell her how I think it is a very sweet thing to do. We pick out the best looking apple we have, and then she is worring that it will be brown if we put it in her back pack because the apple she took to school today for snack had a small brown spot on it, and she doesn't want to give Mrs. Ulmer a brown apple. We reassured her that the apple she had must have already had a small bruise on it because it wouldn't have gotten it from her backpack. Then she was worried about a napkin for her. Unfortunaltely on this one, I could do anything. We do not use disposible napkins at our house. We use cloth napkin because I hate to make trash. She finally settled for this and went back to bed. I think her teacher made quite an imapct on her today. I don't know where she learned about bringin an apple to the teacher, but I think it was the sweetest thing I have ever heard come from a child.

First Day of School
So today was the first day of school for my munchkins. Anthony and Joey had a great morning. I could hardly believe how quickly they got ready for school, compared to last year. That must show how much they missed all their friends. Serenity was so super excited. She wore her sailor dress which she always wants to wear but is just too dressy for everyday. And she got to use her new lunch box in Mrs. Josephine's class, which is the Kindergarten enrichment class at the day care I work at. Then she got to get on the bus from JLDC and go to Schwenksville. She was so excited because she actually knows quite a few kids in her class either from the day care or the nursery school class she was in last year. Out of 20 kids she knows at least 7 or 8, which is pretty good. Serenity had spanish today, which she keeps saying she went to english class and learned how to say Ohla (I can't spell it but you know what I mean) SO here are a few pictures. I am really mad though because as I was coping them off the camera and onto the computer it said it "lost" 19 pictures. Thankfully most were just random snapshots from our trip to NC this summer. I am sad to lose those but they were anyspecial ones. But I did lose a few from this morning, I could cry. I had some great shots of Anthony and Joey by themselves and a cute one of them together which are all lost. The other picture that stayed... of course was the one I let them do the goofy pose. Jimmy says it looks more natural for them anyway. But at least I still have that one. I would be devestated if I lost all the ones of the boys completely.

First day of school is coming soon
All three of the kids are getting ready for their first day of school on Wednesday. Anthony will be heading off to 7th grade. He will be on the Titans this year. It wasn't the team he wanted, but it will all work out fine. Joey is joining him this year at the middle school. Joey is going to be on Element this year. His home room teacher is "the best teacher ever!" So apparently he is very excited to have hi,. I can't believe I will have 2 in middle school. That is mind blowing. But not as much as thinking of my little Serenity starting Kindergerten. She is so excited. She has Mrs. Ulmer. I hear really great things about her from kids and parents, so that makes me happy. Serenity had kindergarten orientation on the 27th, and she was so excited. She even got to ride on the bus around the school. She met her bus driver that day too. Well one of them. She will have 2 because of leaving from JLDC to go to school and then from school she will be coming home. So on the 27th she met Mrs. J (who I have known for 5 years when Joey went to kindergarten) and then coming home from school she will have Kathi, and well, I have known her forever. My little girl couldn't be in better hands. Not that I was worried, I trust most of the bus drivers thanks to Jimmy knowing them all. And he would have told me if we had one I shouldn't be happy with.
The kids have *most* of their school suppiles for school. Just a few odds and ends to pick up. Nothing major. We still need to do some clothes shopping but they have enough to start back with. I can't believe how fast the summer went. But I know they are excited to get back to school.
